An American take on the French film starring Jean Reno. A medieval English Knight is sent into the 21st century and must deal with the social changes that have occurred over the past 900 years.
A psychiatrist makes several jumps back in time in order to save a woman from her brutal husband. Starring James Belushi, it sounds a lot more exciting in this one paragraph than what it actually is.

A young boy and his mother are on holiday in the Greek isles, when they encounter a man with amnesia. Not a typical sci-fi movie, much like in LOST the science fiction elements aren’t revealed until later in the film.

81. Lake House
Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves star in this time travelling love story. They are connected by a mail box which seems to be a time portal between the years 2004 and 2007.
A magic remote control gives a workaholic architect the ability to travel forward or backward, but mainly forward in time. This one ranks so bad because you know from pretty early on that nothing matters because it will all be undone before the end. And then it is all undone in the end.
79. Terror From the Year 5000
If you can’t tell from the title this is another cheesy ’50’s time travel movie. A group of scientist are able to send and receive objects from/to the future but then comes the Terror from the year 5000. Basically an ugly woman ‘mutated’ by radiation from the future.

A rare Soviet time travel film, in which Ivan Vasilievich is accidentally sent back to the 16th century and Ivan the Terrible takes his place in the year 1973. Known in America as either ‘Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future’ or ‘Ivan the Terrible: Back to the Future.’
A Woman lives the days of her life out of chronological order. Starring Sandra Bullock as a mother who has to deal with the death of her family. It’s okay not great but good.

Calvin Fuller is pulled back in time by the wizard Merlin and must help King Arthur regain his confidence, defeat the evil Lord Belascoe and rescue Princess Catherine. Before Merlin will send him home.

A comedy set in the year 2176 (Quadcentennial of the declaration of independence) A group of students attempt to travel back in time to the year 1776 and end up in the year 1976 instead.

58. Les Visiteurs 2: Les Couliors du Temps (The Visitors 2: The Corridors of Time)
This sequel to ‘The Visitors’ has the knight Godfroy de Monomial (Jean Reno) travelling to the present (1998) this time to recover some lost family jewels which were stolen by his servant Jacquouille (Christian Clavier).
A medieval nobleman and his servant are transported to the modern day by a senile wizard and must figure out a way to return home whilst at the same time dealing with the current culture and technological innovations which neither of them understands.
A man whose father was killed when he was very young finds that he can communicate with his dad 30 years in the past through a simple CB radio.

A scientist is working on the ultimate weapon a death ray which seems to have a side effect on not only the weather but on the space time continuum itself. Soon the scientist finds himself transported back to 1817 where he meets Mary Shelly and Victor Frankenstein.

Queen Elizabeth I is sent forward in time to the late 1970’s where she finds the world to be a depressing and pointless place. She ends up with a group of Punk girls who take her through London in the 20th century.

This sequel to the first film sees America having lost World War II to the Nazi and being conquered because of a stealth F-117 bomber having been sent back in time to 1943. Luckily our hero, David Herdeg (Brad Johnson) is aware of the change is determined to restore history and the United States.

A teenager wins a soda company competition and gets to stay overnight in a medieval castle, along with a T.V. crew. That night the castle and everyone inside are transported back in time to the 14th century.

A young man seems to have the ability to change history purely through will power. However every time he tries to change history for the better it seems like there are always terrible consequences.
Experiments in cloaking technology sends the USS Eldridge naval ship from 1943 forward to 1984.
The third instalment in the horror/comedy ‘Evil Dead’ series has Ash J. Williams (Bruce Campbell) accidentally thrown back to medieval times where he must battle “deadites” and capture the Necronomicon in order to return to his own time.
29. Somewhere in Time
A playwright becomes smitten by a portrait of an actress and so he uses self-hypnosis to send himself back to 1912. Starring Christopher Reeve.
28. The Final Countdown
In 1980 a modern aircraft carrier is randomly sent back to 1941 the day before the attack on Pearl Harbour by a freak vortex. The ship’s commander must make the decision on whether it is right to use their modern vessel to destroy the Japanese fighter planes or stand back and do nothing to preserve history.
Austin Powers is back and must travel back to his home decade, the 1960’s, to get his “Mojo” back. Powers must also stop Doctor Evil from building a “Death Star” (A giant laser attached to the moon) which he intends to use to destroy major cities across the world.
A young boy chases his brother into the woods and then suddenly finds himself 8 years in the future. Meanwhile an alien spaceship has been caught by NASA, could the two events be related? The answer is yes.

24. The Time Machine (2002)
A mathematician/inventor named Alexander Hartdegen (Guy Pearce) builds a time machine in the hopes that he can save the life of his fiancé. When this proves impossible he ends up travelling directly from 1899 to 2030 hoping to learn why he cannot save his fiancé’s life.

An ATF agent uses a time machine to travel back in time in order to save a woman from being murdered.
After World War III ravishes the world the few surviving humans try to build a time machine so that they can gain food and other supplies from the pre-WWIII world. The man they send back is haunted by a childhood memory of a lonely woman that will prove to be fatal.
A young boy is caught up by a band of dwarves travelling throughout history looking for treasure and trying to evade their boss, the supreme being.
Once again Skynet has sent a terminator back in time to kill John Connor and once again the Human resistors have sent back a terminator to protect him and his future wife.
19. 12:01 This telemovie has a man reliving the same 24-hour period of his life starting from 12:01am. The movie is based on a short story by Richard Lupoff from 1973 and therefore predates ‘Groundhog Day’.
This is the third instalment in the ‘Planet of the Apes’ series. This time three intelligent apes travel back to the modern day (1971) and tell the story of the United States missing astronauts.
Third installment of the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy. This time around Marty travels back to 1885 in order to save Doc Brown’s life. Unfortunately the Delorean is out of gas. And without any fuel the Doc and Marty have to figure out how to get the Delorean up to 88 miles per hour before Buford Tannen can kill either or both of them.
The second film in the ‘Planet of the Apes’ series, sees U.S. Astronaut Brent being sent after Taylor in order to find out what happened to him and his crew. When Brent finally tracks down Taylor he has learnt that he is not on a different planet but on earth thousands of years in the future. And that Taylor is being held underground by a race of mutant humans with incredible mental powers.
Kirk and crew return to Earth to be judged for treason however when they return to Earth they find the planet being decimated by an alien vessel attempting to communicate with some hump back whales. Since there are none in the 23rd century Spock suggests they must travel back to the 20th century in order to retrieve some hump back whales and have them communicate with the alien vessel.
A man relives the exact same day of his life starting from 6am every morning. Awesome comedy starring Bill Murray.
A group of old buddies take a trip to a skiing resort when they get into a hot tub and have a few drinks they wake up the next morning in 1986, as well as in their younger bodies. Figuring out that the hot tub must be some kind of ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’. Super funny.
The Star Trek universe is altered forever when Romulans from the 24th century travel back in time to the early 23rd century and attempt to destroy both Vulcan and Earth to avenge the destruction of Romulus.
11. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Bill and Ted are a couple of guys who are about to flunk history and therefore begin a chain of events that will destroy their band. As it turns out their band’s music is the basis for a utopian society in the future and so Rufus is sent back in time to give Bill and Ted a time machine to help them pass their final exam.
10. Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey
One of the few sequels to be better than the original. Denomolos is sick of the utopian future that was created by the band Wild Stallions and so he sends to android copies of Bill and Ted back into the past to destroy their band and create an authoritarian dictatorship for the future. But can Bill and Ted still save the day after they are dead?
This time Skynet sends a liquid metal terminator to kill John Connor as a small boy. Luckily John has sent a terminator of his own back to protect himself.
An astronaut and his crew land on what they think is an alien world ruled over by intelligent talking apes. The humans of this world live as animals being hunted and experimented on. ***Spoiler Alert*** Turns out the planet of the apes is Earth in the future.

2. Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko is an outsider with possible schizophrenia. One morning he awakens to find himself in the middle of a golf course but that’s not the weird thing. An aeroplane’s engine has crashed onto his family’s house, directly on his room. And strangest of all is Frank the Rabbit, who talks to Donnie about Time Travel and destroying things.
Truly the greatest film of all time, everyone has seen Back to the Future and any group of people you are with will happily sit down and watch this film, it has something for everyone. But here’s the plot anyway. Marty McFly is good friends with Doctor Emmett Brown who has built a time machine into a Delorean, why? “Because if you are going to build a time machine into a car why not do it with some style.” Through an accident, involving Libyan terrorists, Marty ends up back in the year 1955, where he accidentally causes his Dad to never meet his Mum and thus causes he and his siblings to never exist. Now how can you not love this film?
